In the “Oscar” category Sweden gets 5 awards: Best show, Best outfit, Best lyrics, Best composition and Biggest post-Eurovision star potential. The voting for the Most unjustified non-qualifier was very close between winners Switzerland, the Netherlands and Slovenia, who were all within a couple of votes of each other.

The only things I do not agree with are Worst Outfit… That’s be Jedward or San Marino
and maybe Best Lyrics. The rest is fine with me!

And for the most unjustified non-qualifier, for me it was Slovenia by far, but i agree also with Switzerland which would be my 2nd choice.
At the best Spokesperson, i liked Anke, but i liked more Mr. Lordi, he was very funny.

Btw, I think that the wealthy broadcasters should help the smaller ones if they have problems to finance ESC participation. We are all one Europe and nobody should be excluded for financial reasons.

Well, I certainly hate these results. I can understand many of these being a matter of personal taste, but ‘Euphoria’ winning best composition and best lyrics? I agree with Morgan that it shouldn’t have even been nominated in either category.
People could nominate on their own…

I remember that. I nominated my own quite a bit. It was more of a principal thing than a reality thing.
But, I’m not complaining, honestly. I’m used to holding a minority viewpoint. I think using the word ‘hate’ may have made the post come off far stronger than it should have.
Best outfit : Loreen? She was nominated for worst outfit, how it became that she wins in this category? And best lyrics, again “Euforia” ?

The only part I disagree was the best dress..Loreen? Seriously, that was overrated. I mean I love her song and she was the winner but to give her the best dress? NO..it should be France

I agree wiht most of them apart from Eleftheria being the most beatiful woman/girl (Ivi was by far better and partly with Anke. I would rather prefer Sara.
Most justified non-qualifier : I would have chosen GEORGIA proving there’s no such thing as automatic qualifier!
Worst outfit : Definitely Jedward ! ( Rona’s dress was not good though so I partly agree )

Loreen deserved the best dressed award. The rest of the dresses were either slutty or just plain wrong. Hers was simple and she looked great!
I played both “Cutest Girl”and “Cutest guy”. real fun, and it fitted the former’s title.

Although these were not my choices in very category my only disagreements are : Worst Vocals (Bulgaria and Albania are my choices here along with France) and most beautiful woman (where my criteria are quite different obviously since I voted for Nina Zilli). Best composition is a well deserved award for Euphoria but I would prefer “Korake ti znam” which had an unmatched musical depth as a composition. Cutest guy well Roman did deserve it objectively speaking I guess..Also best vocal performance I would give it to Roman as well..Ott was a bit too shouty in the contest performances imo..

Sabina Babayeva’s talent was wasted on ESC – she is way too good for this pop song contest! dare anyone sing her song – not many can – only professionals with excellent vocals. Loreen’s song easy to sing for many. True, the winner of the SONG CONTEST (not vocalism) is Loreen’s song. Creepy and weird as it was, it was also quite unique and attention grasping! And I think Loreen will not make it big – she was not comfortable with people’s attention as she admitted (not sure why she is in show business!) also has a strange body language, holding onto her stomach and chest all the time as if she is unwell, hiding eyes under the fringe… IMHO Sabina’s song and the accompanying mugham was way BEYOND average people to understand and appreciate. Azerbaijan should’t have sent such serious song, next time more pop and dancing! And hopefully in Azeri written by Azeris

Exactly. I don’t see how a 4th place is any worse than what their pop and dancing achieved. I’d love something in Azeri, written by Azeris, but Sabina did anything but fail Azerbaijan.

On Azerbaijan 12: I didn’t really enjoy the live performance during the final.It sounded quite shouty and soulless IMO.
