Sweden – If success on iTunes is any indication, Sweden is the big favorite the win the Eurovision Song Contest this Saturday. After her performance in the second semi-final on Thursday, her song Euphoria representing Sweden entered the iTunes charts in several countries. She is currently number one in Norway and Finland, in the Top 10 of Greece,Denmark and The Netherlands and has made it to the British and German Top 100, which is a rarity before a Eurovision final. In the UK she is currently #80 trailing the UK’s own entry by Engelbert Humperdinck by only 3 places. Euphoria can also be found in the Swiss Top 100. We’ll see whether this success will translate into votes on Saturday night. Loreen herself has affirmed that she believes the Russian grannies will win the competition. They are probably her strongest rivals for the Eurovision crown.

”Loreen herself has affirmed that she believes the Russian grannies will win the competition.”
She is dumb if she really believes this…
Maybe she tries to avoid the pressure of being the absolute favorite from day 1.Maybe,she knows esc is unpredictable so she wants to keep her feet on the ground.
Exactly
+1! She thinks she will win! As do Tooji, Zeljko
The grannie’s don’t give a rat’s ass ^^
You mean she’ll win?
Yes!She is currently #2 in Greek i-tunes charts and everyone is talking about her performance. Many shows had Loreen’s performance as an opening today.
Where do you see where she is standing… I only have updates for the bigger countries.
Through the i-tunes store. Here is a link but it’s not updated yet. http://www.apple.com/euro/itunes/charts/top10songs.html
Well I think something will have to go terribly wrong tomorrow to be surprised much by the winner..
gay trance hit in Europe, top 5 in ESC….IMHO…
Yep, I agree.
Good news for Loreen. Congrats!
I like her act and hope that it does well but it would be a pretty underwhelming winner imo. Surprisingly, my parents think differently. I am at their house for the weekend and my mum has been playing Norway and Sweden on infinite loop while preparing everything for tomorrow night’s big party. She even tried to learn Tooji’s dance routine …
I would lobe to see you mother do that. It’s good to know that ESC touches fans from different age groups.
P.S.: congratulations, Loreen.
It is very funny and sort of cute. Despite the heat, I lent her one of my hoodie jackets too.
WHATEVER WHAT THE PEOPLE SAY HERE , I WAS LOOKING THE REHEARSAL FOR THE FINAL FROM PASTORA , AND NO DOUBT , SPAIN IS WINNER , AAAAAAMMMAAAAAZIIIING
I guess Nina Zilli will be her biggest competition… Russian grannies coming in third…
I really hope for Loreen or Nina – I want to go to Stockholm or Rome and not again to Russia, even they probably would host it in Petersburg this time…
Ireland may be a dark horse, I don’t know… personally I thought Turkey could come into the Top5 as well, but since everybody around me keeps on critizising this act, they maybe won’t…
Odd…. My mother who doesn’t know anything about Sweden’s massive hype told me she thought it was an “ugly” (her words) song… And I thought her performance was so lacklustre that it felt like she lost a little hype right there and then, but apparantly it’s just me, lol.
I also think it will be a underwhelming winner if it wins – just like Azerbaijan last year. However, if they do win I will probably go next year.
Me, I only hope this iTunes success means she is a popular pop act OUTSIDE of Eurovision. A boring and radio-friendly type of singer/song that won’t win because everyone will already be tired of having heard it played on the radio… At least they’ve played it too much here.
