FYR Macedonia: One of the first performers we bumped into at this year’s event was Kaliopi, serenading the locals in the old city of Baku on a carpet! Kaliopi did a beautiful version of her song and then an Azeri song too, and carried out interviews on the carpet in the middle of the old city. Check out the video plus footage of her latest rehearsal. Kaliopi said she had fallen in love with some of the Azerbaijani songs and music.
Kaliopi will perform in the second semi-final on May 24th and today had her second set of rehearsals in the Crystal Hall. Here’s today’s Performance.
Great song, great voice, great performance. She MUST be in the final – after all, if the juries don’t reward talented artists like her, there’s absolutely no point in having any juries at all.

If there is any justice left in our ESC world, Kaliopi should be in the final, instead of the lovely Russian grannies for instance, whose song is not really a song.
Kaliopi can’t qualify instead of the russian grannies cause their not in the same semi.
But i agree that Russia should not qualify. 
You’re right, Razvan. I was just taking a broader approach (nice save, don’t you think? LOL). My point was that some of the 42 songs will reach the final undeservedly. Well, that happens every year anway.
Indeed, every year there are some undeserved qualifiers. From 1st Semifinal i hope Finland and Hungary will qualify instead of Russia and Moldova. And from 2nd Semifinal i hope Netherlands and Belarus (even though their final version disappointed me a lot, is still better than many other songs, imo) will qualify instead of let’s say Ukraine and Turkey.

I don’t think Macedonia will qualify. From the ex-Yugo countries Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Croatia are more likely to qualify, imo. And it’s hard to believe all of them will qualify. I agree that she has a great voice and will probably have a very good performance, but imo the song is not good enough to qualify.

She is a gorgeous lady and a great singer! I wish I could vote for her. With performances like this in the semi and the final she’ll probably secure a place in my top5. Best of luck Kaliopi! Ajdeee…
I don’t know why is an artist like Kaliopi attending a circus like Eurosong. This is a mistake in her carrier. Eurovision Song contest is for clowns, paraders and magicians, not for real musicians like Kaliopi.
Kaliopi please come back and do not give legitimacy to the circus over there. We love your music!!!
