Plasma screens for the press to watch them weren’t delivered until late afternoon though; another unprepared moment in Baku to embarrass officials. See the rehearsals here:

Was a good day’s rehearsals. Iceland, Romania and Albania were very good as was Switzerland, Belgium and dare I say it Latvia (naff lyrics though). Disappointed with Greece, Finland was okay and don’t get me started on Montenegro.Big day tomorrow as Jedward and the Russian grannies take to the stage. There’s going to be a lot of discussions on the forums with regards these two entries. Bring it on.

I only watched Greece, Albania and Romania. Both Albania and Romania were excellent yet totally different, one sending shivers down my spine and the other one making me sing and dance along. Unfortunately, Greece stays in the bin, in fact, it has even slipped a bit deeper into the bin after today’s messy rehearsal.

Montenegro: biggest disappointment of the day.
Iceland: very good; they can do even better though. Loved the background.
Greece: uninspiring, to say the least, stage performance.
Latvia: pretty decent performance for a totally forgetable, at best, song.
Albania: stunning, as expected, performance by Rona. Hope that the juries will come to their senses on this.
Switzerland: well above average stage presentation.
Romania: An unexpectedly good performance for one of my least fav songs this year.
Belgium: Surprisingly enough, I quite liked it. Can Iris save this middle of the road song?
Finland: The biggest pleasant surprise of the day. It will certainly climb up my list after today.

  4. Finland will have a terribly hard time to make it through considering that she’s not that charismatic in camera and that she’s going courageously for the by-herself standing-mic performance ; however, it’s a great song, a great singer and I hope it does make it through

Iceland will be in the top 5 and deserves to

Albania will be in my all time top 20 I think, Rona is incredible

Switzerland seems to be itself and I think they’ll make the cut surprisingly

Greece, Latvia, Romania, Belgium, no comments :(
