TEKO – Here are the result of Heats 5 to 8 in the Eurovision Knockout competition. The Winners of the respective Heats will compete in Duels. The Winner of each Duel will proceed to the Third Round. See who qualified from the initial Heats here, and how close it was between Finland and Albania! Who will get a second chance in the Heat 16 playoff?
Here are the results of Heats 5 to 8:
Heat 5:
Albania 34%
Moldova 30%
Finland 36%
So Finland just steal it!
Heat 6:
Iceland 64%
Croatia 8%
Cyprus 28%
No surprise that Iceland won this one, was there?
Heat 7:
FYR Macedonia 38%
Israel 33%
Bulgaria 29%
Kaliopi seems popular with Eurovision fans and FYR Macedonia qualify for the next round.
Heat 8:
Sweden 67%
Lithuania 9%
Slovenia 24%
No surprise here either as favourite Sweden easily qualifies for the next round.
Were there any surprises there, and are you disappointed that Albania didn’t win their heat?

Heat 5 was a very tight affair. Albania is my favourite this year but I can accept the quality song from Finland beating “Suus”. For almost every other song I would have said WTF!
I’m quite content with theses results, all of my favourites won, except for heat 8 where I voted for Slovenia, although I did expect Sweden to win.
Slovenia got unlucky to be in same heat with Sweden. Not even a second chance for Eva now…
I am happy for Finland though my favourite was Albania( 2nd chance perhaps?).
Israel sounds better than FYROM imo.
Except for heat 7 where Israel is clearly better than Macedonia and Bulgaria imo, i agree with the results in the other heats.
pity for Albania, but on the other hand it’s nice to see Finland moving on…
in the real competition, I hope both of them qualify for the final..
Albania and Israel better be in second chance, they’re my number 1 and 2
poor cyprus
So far, Albania has had the highest losing percentage at 34%, so it looks like Albania might be in the second-chance heat. I’m happy for Finland’s win too, and like Toggie said, if it had been almost any other song, I would have been like WTF! I’m also pleased to see FYR Macedonia moving on! Kaliopi has had my rise in the rankings this year, and she’s all set to pass up Iceland and make it into my top 5 with a good live performance in Baku.
Candidates for second chance ( so far ) :
Romania (36%)
Albania (34%)
Israel ( 33% )
Azerbaijan (33%).
So only Romania is safe !
However , there seems to be something wrong with the percentages in heat #3 :
Itally 56% , Romania 36% ? , Estonia 18% , so it is propably a 26% for Romania meaning Mandinga will not be fighting for 2nd chance !
Well, good. That puts Rona back into the fight for second-chance.
I hope she’ll win. It looks like her heat was extraordinarily tight. Well, it was probably the strongest heat of TEKO in my rankings. My 1, 2, and 11 fighting it out.
