The Eurovision KnockOut 2012 – “The Eurovision Knockout 2012″ (TEKO) to find our reader’s winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, now starts! The competition is organized in a knockout format. Over the next few days, 16 heats will be held. Entries will compete in each heat and one of them will qualify to the second round. Today you can start voting in the first heat where Joan Franka from The Netherlands and Trackshittaz from Austria will fight for a place in the second round!

Having seen Joan sing her song twice in Amstedam, it really grew on me, which surprised me greatly as previously I thought it was a little twee and bland. But in a big arena, with a huge tv show I think Trackshittaz will make theirs work better. Is it too novelty though? I’m not normally a big fan of the more rap based songs, but I do like this one, it has character. Hmmm difficult choice for me in the first heat.
Although I’m one of the few who like the Austrian entry, the choice here is the Netherlands, of course…

not yet im eating breafkast reading belgian news to get as many reassuring polls as i can, im terrified by this and truly hope we’ll get a good result!
Don’t worry too much. I know that the gap between them is not as big as it once was, but Le Changement will beat La France Forte.
YES, TEKO is back! We are already doing sth similar on MyEurovisionDiary and have a great line-up for the final there.
Let’s hope that people here will show similarly good taste here.

As far as the songs go though, Joan’s is annoyingly catchy, even on first listen and got my vote
