Amsterdam- A record of 24 Eurovision participants will take part in this year’s edition of Eurovision in Concert; Europe’s largest Eurovision Promo Event which will take place on the 21st of April in Amsterdam. This means more than half of the total line up in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will head towards the Dutch capital in order to promote themselves for press and fans.
Eurovision in Concert will be organized for the fourth consecutive time this year. Back in 2009 it started off as a joke, but turned quickly into a massive event, officially endorsed by EBU-UER and Dutch broadcaster TROS. Fans and press from all over Europe will come over to attend the event. Just like all previous editions the event consists out of 2 elements: a day program (for press only) and a concert later at night. After an official welcome, all participants will be offered a guided tour through the famous canals of Amsterdam. The concert will take place at ‘Melkweg’; one of Amsterdam’s most popular music venues – located in the heart of the city centre.
The concert will be hosted by the 1993 Dutch Eurovision representative Ruth Jacott and former Dutch commentator Cornald Maas.
The representatives of the following 24 countries will take part in the event:
