Sweden - the fourth semifinal of Melodifestivalen takes place tonight in Malmo. The show starts at 20:00 (CET) and is live on SVT1 and can be watched on the Internet. The top two acts will qualify directly for the final whist the third and fourth placed acts will enter the second chance Andra Chansen competition.
Eurovision legend Charlotte Pirrelli, who represented Sweden at Eurovision 2008 with ‘Hero‘ , and actually won the competition in Jerusalem back in in 1999with ‘Take Me to Your Heaven‘, makes a bid to return yet again to the Grand Prix.

I think this is the strongest heat of the 4 semi-finals. Many good songs. Therefore I find it so difficult to decide who I want to see advance. About 1 person I am sure: Charlotte Perrelli just has to go to the final. Her song is very good and strong and she just deserves the final. Furthermore, all other songs are good except Axel Algmark. He has the worst song this week by far.

Charlotte and Danny will be in the final but they will all lose to Loreen!
I also looked at the Swedish snippets:
Charlotte, I love her, the song is her weakest ever in MF and people are tired of her and disliked her lame result in 2008… i’d be surprised she’d make it to the final
Opa, a huge surprise, loved the snippet and want more song and more live to make my mind up
Dynazty, being themselves, I liked it a lot for MF but it’s not the best rock song for sure
Lotta & Christer, awful
Hanna, worse than awful (there was one huge horrible schlager in each semi, with Marie, Mini-Oh and Youngblood, sigh)
Axel, I expected a lot from him, he delivered a great song and a promising performance
Lisa, the song sounds amazing but the live looks lame and typical, but the song wow
Danny, the song is definitely not awesome and the performance looks odd, weird and forced, as if he waned to copy Eric to win… that’s sad, I love Danny way more than Eric and he should stay himself, at least he’s a much better singer and won’t need fake voices like Saade who looked awful live in esc… I dunno if he’ll be that high in my list

I disagree with the word “legend” used in the article: she won eurovision but when she came back she barely made it to the final and is not really considered highly in many 1999′s polls online… I mean Anne-Marie David is a Eurovision Legend, even Carola is more one than Charlotte!

Actually Charlotte’s song is better than Dynazty’s in audio (Kempe better than G:son, no surprise) and since I love Charlotte and her performance, it would sneak in my top 4 now! Lisa has one of the best songs in ALL MF but that’s a very hard song to perform and Alex has both an amazing song and what appears to be a very strong performance, very looking forward to it… Danny’s song is both lame and stupid and his performance might be ludicrous, it would be hilarious for him to fall
all in all, it really IS Loreen’s year!

Danny – “Amizing” is better than Loreen for me by far…full entry is good, beat is so much better than last year “Popular”! And part from 02:12 – 02:27 is the same like in Suriya’s entry from Dansk MGP!
From rehearsal choreography is more than good, but still I think I’ll prefer David Lindgren – “Shout it out”
Charlotte – “The girl” is GREAT, this is easily the best semi! :/
It’s really hard for me to imagine “The girl” outside the Globen. now when I heard full song! But we’ll see..

And imo, Danny’s song is by far the best in this semi. It sounds like a combination between Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Chris Brown. Love it !
I am getting ready for tonight’s shows. I’ve just listened to the Swedish songs (thanks for the link, Morgan, btw) and there are 2 songs that I like and 1 that I love:
Like – ‘Allting blir bra igen’ and ‘Kyss mig’;
Love – ‘Why start a fire’
I am not going to watch the show, because it is all bit depressing to tell you the truth (one knows the results in advance, there being 100% televote) and there are much better alternatives. Good luck to all hopefuls.

That’s about how I expected it to turn out. It’s unfortunate for Axel. He had the best song of Melodifestivalen for me. Oh well, I have one act that I really enjoy in the final currently and one or two more that I like in the second chance round.
