Finland – The semi-final of Finland’s UMK competition has just concluded in Helsinki. Held in the ice hall, the venue for tomorrow’s final, another act, Freeman & Uusi Fantasia, was evicted. This leaves 6 in the final. During rehearsals, the acts were called onto the stage in two groups and the finalists announced.
In the first group the following (in bold) qualified immediately:
Mica Ikonen – ‘Antaa Mennä‘
Pernilla Karlsson – ‘När Jag Blundar‘
Ville Eetvartti – ‘Lasikaupunki‘
Kaisa Vala – Habits Of Human Beings
In the second group the following qualified:
Iconcrash – ‘We Are The Night‘
Freeman & Uusi Fantasia – ‘Noitanainen‘
Stig – ‘Laululeija‘
The two acts that were left behind had to rely on the jury to vote for them. They performed their songs in front of the jury and their fellow contestants:
Kaisa Vala – ‘Habits Of Human Beings‘
Freeman & Uusi Fantasia – ‘Noitanainen’
Kaisa Vala was chosen as the act to join the final tomorrow.

Ville Eetvartti – ‘Lasikaupunki‘
Pernilla Karlsson – ‘När Jag Blundar‘
Iconcrash – ‘We Are The Night‘
Mica Ikonen – ‘Antaa Mennä‘

For me, it’s Pernilla before Stig, Kaisa and Iconcrash… four really great songs remain in the race…
