Norway: Tooji for Baku

Posted: February 11, 2012 by hulluna in Norway

Norway – Against all the betting odds, Tooji will be representing Norway in Baku. His song “Stay” won out against the other 3 acts in the superfinal against Plumbo, Nora Foss al-Jabri and Bobby Bare & Petter Øien.

Tooji (born Tooji Keshtkar in 1987) is an Iranian-born Norwegian singer, model and TV personality who moved to Norway when he was one year old. At the age of 16 he started modeling before moving on to MTV Norway where he presented “Super Saturday” and “Tooji’s Top 10″.

  1. Al'mar from BAKU says:

Tooji I will vote you in the may… Love from host city…

  2. Shevek says:

My dearest Norway is going down the Björkman road. Well, if that’s what they want, let it be. This song is pure glitter and gloss, in other words, pointless. Good luck.

  3. So in Baku , Eric Saade , Jedward and Gaeter Jaani are once more competing but this time for Norway , Ireland and Cyprus ! :p

I think Norway chose right result wise. There’s no way this act will miss top 5 in televoting.Poor Ivi…
    7/12 from me.Good luck !

  4. togravus says:

I guess that his main talent are his looks … if one happens to fall for this type. ABYSMAL!

  5. M-Fireball says:

Quite disappointing! I had 5 10/10 entries and this one wins, I gave 7/10 because I love clothes, choreography and dancers, without that it would be wqite poor and weak! Oriental part bugs me the most! :/ But still number 2 in weak 2012 for me!

  6. hulluna says:

I’ve had this in my head for days and day, I love it. I’m really glad they sent him :)

  7. Bradley says:

Go Norway but i do think western countries are struggling this year norway you are sending a copy cat of Eric Saade and i heard Iceland song and i think Iceland is trying too hard i know a balkern countrey is going to win this year because of western countries are seem to to be struggling with there pick of entries and thats my opinion

    • M-Fireball says:

You are wrong, Balkan is not so strong this year, Kaliopi will sing in Macedoniana ethno song so she won’t qualify for fina, Serbia also ethnic and in Serbian languag, and singer who is total nothing now, somebody who is lost and forgotten LOL Croatia and Slovenia will never win, whatever they send! B&H will never win with that singer as well… NEVER!

  8. Al'mar from BAKU says:

Tooji is the Best. This year Norway is strong. Good night everyone!

  9. paschalisb says:

It’s a nice song, but this is not hard considering how bad a year for ESC 2012 already is.

    • M-Fireball says:

I agree with you on almost all this year for now! :D Especially Iceland and Norway, but Soluna Samay does have some charisma and she sings good live, don’t be like that! :P

  10. Is it too early to say that I’ve already found #43 of my ESC 2012 list?

  11. Beto says:

Norway: Is this your song? GOOD LUCK, you will need it

  12. milim says:

    I like it!
It’s much better than Eric Saade, he CAN sing (can’t you listen to him when he says “staaaaaaaaay”?), the song is catchy, probably he will be first in televoting in his semifinal and in top 5 in the final… at least top 10!
Even juries may vote for this!

  13. Richard says:

Not bad Norway, catchy song and despite comparisons to Eric Saade this is better!

  14. CC says:

Nice catchy song. This should score Top10.

  15. tehoe says:

Oh my, that’s terrible. How could this win over Plumbo? What the hell is wrong with you, Norway???

  16. rosa says:

eric saade copy.just miss broken glasses.

  17. ALEX_AZERBAIJAN says:

For the moment Norway is my favourite. But song is not original!

  18. onur21 says:

  19. Karlito says:
