Moldova: 20 Finalists Revealed

  Moldova – The 20 finalists of the Moldovan national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest have been revealed. A total of 55 entries had competed in an internal semi-final. A jury of music experts chose the 20 lucky qualifiers who still have the chance to fly the Moldovan flag in Baku. The qualifiers include former Eurovision participants Geta Burlacu and Nelly Ciobanu, The Sunstroke Project (Eurovision 2010) however did not make the cut. They still may qualify as the 21st participant through an open online voting.

    Oh my, what a disappointing bunch of finalists from one of my favourite ESC countries. My favourite songs here (Doinita Gherman, Geta Burlacu & Transbalkanica) have the same score (8/12) as my least favourite songs among the fantastic12 Finnish finalists. Traditionally, Finland is among my least favourite ESC countries … Well, well … the world is upside down these days. LOL
