  1. Nicky Peeters says:

    Hi!

This is by far the strongest semi-final in Iceland this year. All the songs are really good and really deserve to be in the final. But sadly enough only 2 will advance to the final.

I hope for the following results tonight:

To the final (in no particular order):

    - Greta Salóme, Heiða & Guðrún Árný – Aldrei sleppir mér
    - Magni Ásgeirsson – Hugarró

    Eliminated:

    - Herbert Guðmundsson – Eilíf ást
    - Íris Lind Verudóttir – Aldrei segja aldrei
    - Svenni Þór – Augun þín

    Good luck Iceland!

  2. I’d be disappointed if Svenni doesnt make it to the final. I really dislike Magni’s song, among the worst of all songs in Iceland and I fear they will pick it.

  3. M-Fireball says:

    I want to final:

    1. Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný – “Aldrei sleppir mér” 9/10
    2. Svenni Þór – “Augun þín” 6,5/10

This time I love Grete’s song, but she won’t 1005, I think they will do everything to have Jonsi & Grete as winner of NF and they will push them, so this one wull stay in semi, mark my words! Shit! :( :( :(

IMO they will do quite bad with Jonsi & Grete, but if they choose Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný – “Aldrei sleppir mér” and translate into English for Baku, can have more than decent placement! :(

    “Aldrei sleppir mér” FTW!! ;-***

Regina Osk and Blar Opal are great for me too!

  4. Max Raspail says:

    For me, it’s

    - Íris Lind Verudóttir – Aldrei segja aldrei
    - Svenni Þór – Augun þín

I’m no fan of Greta Salome’s songs, neither her new one nor the fan favourite “Mundu aftir mer”…

    • M-Fireball says:

YES finally somebody agrees with me in this issue, YOOHOOO! :D :)

  5. Hungary’s songs are over just in time for Iceland! Yay!

  6. 1 Herbert Guðmundsson – Eilíf ást
boring, irrelevant, a bit lame too…

    • M-Fireball says:

Somebody from Iceland on YT told me he’s favorite in this semi! :O i can’t believe! :S

      • luludrops says:

Icelanders on forums tell me a lot of their countrymen will vote for the song just because it’s him -.-

        • M-Fireball says:

          Yeah I suppose…

  7. 2 Magni Ásgeirsson – Hugarró
some of the best vocals all night, from Norway and Hungary put together, but I’m still not a huge fan of the song, it’s too straight forward for me, but I think I’ll have to prepare myself for it for Bku

  8. M-Fireball says:

Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný – “Aldrei sleppir mér” realy good, and I still think would be the best choice for Iceland resultwise..translated in English of course.. it has “magical” touch..vocals are good, it’s smth like Yohanna, but for me much better!

  9. 3 Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný – Aldrei sleppir mér
I agee with Marko, it’s got a bit of Yohanna’s except beter: excellent song, the look of Ancient Greek Virgin was neat, though a bit over the top for my taste, vocally flawless, this might suffer from her first song though, even better, and with Jonsi who is for sure going to fight for it

  10. 4 Svenni Þór – Augun þín
It’s the best song of the night; very effective simple live, lots of charisa, vocally ok, though not excellent; I still think it’s the weakest of all semis, all my favorite songs have already been performed and I hope this will go to the final, but won’t support it there

  11. M-Fireball says:

Svenni Þór – “Augun þín” is more than decent and well performed, my second favorite tonight 6,5/10

  12. M-Fireball says:

Iris Lind Verudóttir reminds me of Karolna Gocheva from Macedonia (2007) LOL

Song is for last place in semi in Baku if you ask me…it has 0 points written all over it lol xD

  13. 5 Iris Lind Verudóttir – Aldrei segja aldrei
Nice and cozy, very well performed and sh looked really good, Iceland is very fond of such imple, accoustic ballads, I remember “cowebs” back in NF 2010 and in general they often have them in the NF but yet they never do really well, I wonder why, this is however very well recieved by the audience and could sneak in the final

  14. Max Raspail says:

well, I haven’t changed my opinion after the live performances… still rooting for Iris and Svenni… Magni on the other hand had an excellent live… as Icelandic people often vote only for the most popular singer, I guess he’s in…
the Charlie’s Angels-fraction is too Greek Olymp for my taste, although I really love Gudrun Arny and only for her, I would be happy if she manages at least to have one song in the final…

  15. Patrick P. says:

I missed all of today except for the recap here in Iceland. Anything of particular interest I should know about?

    Based on the recap:
-Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný – Aldrei sleppir mér
    -Svenni Þór – Augun þín
All the songs are decent enough though.

  16. M-Fireball says:

YAY now I love three songs in their final, like never before:

    Regina Osk
Greta Salóme, Heiða and Guðrún Árný
    Blar Opal

I hope one of them wins! :)

    • Patrick P. says:

      One from each semi. :)

      • M-Fireball says:

Hi dear Patrick, yes, I didn’t notice earlier! :)

        • Patrick P. says:

I personally hope for either of the Greta Salóme songs, but Iceland has easily had the strongest national final so far.
Did you watch the Hungarian semi?
