The first semi is stronger than the second one but I hope that Compact Disco, Caramel and Gabi Tóth will make the final easily + Niki Gallusz & Márton Vizy.
I wish a great show for my country and good luck to all the contestants!

  2. Nicky Peeters says:

    Hi!

I hope for the following results tonight:

To the final (in no particular order):

    - Annamari Dancs – Feel
    - Attila Kökény & Tamara Bencsik – Állítsd meg az időt
    - Gabi Tóth – Nem kell végszó
    - Niki Gallusz and Márton Vizy – Európa, egy a szívünk
    - Rudi Krisz – A fél veled egész

I know that only 4 songs may advance to the final, but I can’t choose between this 5 ;-) But Gabi Tóth has to go to the final because she is my favorite from this semi-final.

    Eliminated:

    - András Kállay-Saunders – I love you
    - Barna Pély, Eszter Pál & István Pál “Szalonna” – Hangok a szívekért
    - Caramel – Vízió
    - Compact Disco – Sound of our hearts
    - Gábor Heincz – Learning to let go

    Good luck Hungary!

  3. Richard says:

Compact Disco sounds like a winner, good luck Hungary from UK.

  4. M-Fireball says:

I love that semi, i want in final:

    1. Niki Gallusz & Márton Vizy – “Európa, egy a szívunk” 10/10
    2. Gabi Tóth – “Nem kell végszó” 10/10
    3. Compact Disco – “Sound of our hearts” 10/10
    4. Annamari Dancs – “Feel” 9/10

  5. M-Fireball says:

And yes i have Duna TV on my telly, can i watch it at 20:15 on telly, or i need Duna World channel? I checked programme on teletext but everything is in Hungarian so I can’t understand! lol And I also heard from other countries ppl can vote via SMS, is that true, somebody inform me please. Thanks..

  6. Max Raspail says:

I’m waiting for the second Hungarian semifinal, ’cause nearly all of my favourites are in there…
In semi 1, I want two songs to qualify:

    András Kállay-Saunders – I love you
Gábor Heincz – Learning to let go

  7. I don’t know the songs and I will be glad to discover them live. Last Hungarian NF, in 2008, was great for me (though the tied winner was amazing and should have gone to esc) and I hope it’ll be the same once more!

  8. wow Tamara Bencsik is a great singer

  9. song 2 is András Kállay-Saunders “I love you”, a very different type of song, kind of reggae sounding, it has its pop moments, and I’m not sure his performance is neat, but he’s great vocally!

In two songs, Hungary put Norway to shame

  10. 3 Barna Pély, Eszter Pál & István Pál “Szalonna” – Hangok a szívekért

Well it’s a very well crafted and put together combo of different genres (ethnik and pop rock mostly)… simple and nice, not more but no less either!

  11. 4 Annamari Dancs – Feel

very lame and boring, the first bad one tonight in Hungary

  12. 5 Gábor Heincz – Learning to let go
    modern, cool, fresh, really enjoyable!

  13. 6 Compact Disco – Sound of our heart

excellent song and performance but his vocals are shaky and among the least convincing ones of the night :(

  14. ps the jury has been amazing and gave a full 40/40 to Compact Disco who will cruise into the final

  15. 7 Rudi Krisz – A fél veled egész
he’s very nice looking, and the song is a smooth loving power ballad a bit jazzy, a very nice song it’s just his voice… i don’t know, it’s just so odd and unexpected… overall this is unique and fun, not sure it’ll last enough for an appeal

  16. 8 Niki Gallusz & Márton Vizy – Európa, egy a szívunk
tacky, disney-like ballad, annoying piano routine, really one of my least favorite tonight

  17. 9 Gabi Tóth – Nem kell végszó
Crazy, devoted, punkish in a better way than Poli was last year for Bulgaria, and vocally neat, enjoyed it a lot!

  18. 10 Caramel – Vízió
the song is okish but oh my god vocally it’s terrible, i don’t get his singing at all, it’s like some lame r’n'b wanna be and it just bugs me each time and at the end the song is lost behind all his mimics, i really dont like it at all

  19. My rankings:

06 Compact Disco – Sound of our hearts 10/12
09 Gabi Tóth – Nem kell végszó 10/12
05 Gábor Heincz – Learning to let go 9/12
01 Attila Kökény & Tamara Bencsik – Állítsd meg ad idöt 9/12
03 Barna Pély, Eszter Pál & István Pál Szalonna – Hangok a szívekért 9/12
    07 Rudi Krisz – A fél veled egész 8/12
    02 András Kállay-Saunders – I love you 7/12
    10 Caramel – Vízió 5/12
    08 Niki Gallusz & Márton Vizy – Európa, egy a szívunk 4/12
    04 Annamari Dancs – Feel 3/12

overall a really good first semi, too bad Gabi’s song isnt better or that Compact Disco were vocally weak, preventing me from having one really huge song but the overall qualiy was there for sure!
