Armenia – The organization of Armenians in the Netherlands called “Dear Angels” launched a campaign for the singer Lucia Moon (stage name Babayants Lucina, who is born in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh) to become the Armenian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The Armenian broadcaster had appeared on the official participants list of the EBU despite tensions with hosting Azerbaijan.
“Today, Armenia’s participation in the festival is under discussion, yet the desire to see Armenia in Baku is supported by various segments of local society,” the Dear Angels confirmed. An Armenian Eurovision fan released a video on the Internet supporting the country’s participation in the festival, the Armenian diaspora in the Netherlands supports the visit to Baku and newspapers and local intelligence agencies have also spoken and written in favor of a participation. The Dear Angels also support the application of Lucia Moon (who now lives in the United States).
Lucia has already spoken publicly about the matter and said she would feel grateful if you could represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest.

I’m not a fan of this song here. And why a singer born in Nagorno-Karabakh? Do they want to provoke even more the azeris to boo them?
So they will 100% be in Baku?
The song is not bad, much better than what Armenia usually sends, but I doubt it’s a good idea to send a singer from Nagorno-Kabarakh… It’s an obvious attempt to convince people that the region belongs to them…
It’s not clever to provoke any more! Booooing is the less important, imagine smth worse to happen!

In the list of Portuguese participants I have found Carlos Costa, but I’m not sure if that is this one:
He sang “Invincible by Carola at the audition for Portuguese Idol in 2009! lol
That’s the one 100%
Way off topic: Marko, here you can find links to previous songs written by the composers chosen by RTP.
On topic: let’s not make things worse. If Ms. Moon is chosen, she should be so on account of her talent and that’s it. I am all for local citizens taking part, but I could not care less about the part the country where they were born.

Hey, thank you!
I had to write here because they didn’t make any article about Portuguese NF!
Great News For Armenia but according to remers they are holding a national selection at end of january i dont if this is true
Really? You have to suggest a singer from Nagorno-Karabakh?
This song is nice enough. It’s fairly plain, but she has a nice voice. I’d love to hear her sing something else another year.
I think it’s good that they participate, it’s a good step forward, or at least it could become one….but sending someone from Nagorno-Karabakh is way too much!
I think this will be the perfect choice. Im just happy thar Armenia are participating in it
I do hope they will send somebody from Karabakh. Enough of playing it safe with Azerbaijan, after all they should not even be allowed in Eurovision since they’ve cheating ever since they debuted in 2008.
hey everyone!! I read that Lucia Moon was born in Azerbaijan, but was forsed to leave the country due to the Armenia- Azerbaijani war. She is the perfect choice for Armenia ! I also heard that she has the hit song, a new song she wrote herself. I am dying to hear this one. The girl really has something to say. Check out her other songs on youtube. She is awsome! her other songs are 1 Deir ez Zor Lucia moon, and
2. Mimosa Lucia Moon
Very impressive and genuine. No bowl shit!!
I also remember reading that she was born in Baku then moved to the US
Hey Carolyn, Thanks. I checked out Deir ez zor and Mimosa. Mannnnnn! She rocks! Very different. Finally, there are some meaningfull lyrics. I am tired of stupid words in songs. Go Lucia!!!! We will be there to support you!!
Guys, in Armenian newspapers it says that Lucia’s Great Grandparents were all from Kharabakh, not her. Armenia should send the most tallented and brave one. That’s Lucia. I read her interviews. also some cool stuff on her webcite too: http://www.luciamoon.com
WOW!!!!!!! this Lucia is truly brave!!!! Azerbaijanis hate Armenian guts. Imagine performing for all the enemys in the audience!!!! She is something else! I would love to date her LOL
My type, definitely!
You guys, maybe this contest will reconcile these two nations??? They are at war for 25 years now. I really hope Lucia’s song will be the one bringing pease to these these lands. If anyone can do it it is probably her. She has seen it all with her own eyes. She is very deep. Read her interviews on escdaily.com
Azerbaijan is affraid of the Lucias’ song content. They turned her family into a refugee and they went homeless for years, untill comming to the United States. Now they are shitting in their pants, because she is comming back for them. I hope She will get the 1-st place. SWEET !!!!!!!!! And if that happens, then I will be convienced that Azerbaijan was not cheating other times. Or maybe they will buy the jury this time again? Drip Drop couple of millions for Armenia not to win?? LOL I can’t wait to hear her song! She wrote it also! That’s what she said in the iinterview!!! Lucia Greece loves you!
It seems that Armenians want to arrange a provocation in contest once more.
I don’t know who could possibly have that idea, but on my mind is only one thing that nothing good will come out of it.
