Albania – Tonight the second semi-final of the traditional Festivali i Këngës was held in Tirana. The festival which is also the countries’ selection method for the Eurovision Song Contest celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Tonight a total of 14 artists competed for ten places in the national final to be held on Thursday. A jury determined which entries will qualify. Here is the result:

I have come to this decision as he has insulted some of our users and myself on a regular basis. (Accusing me of hating Eastern Europe, using swear words, reating to constructive critisim in an unacceptable way and finally making fun of other peoples English (which is unacceptable in any context, but seeing his own default it is plain uncalled for) He has been told to stop his behaviour but has not done so.
I have reactivated this blog because of the fun I had writing it, and not to be insulted and ridiculed day in and day out.
I really don’t like doing this. I will only ban spammers permenantly, which is why Markos ban will be lifted in one week’s time. The effect this has had tonight is nothing I want to see ever happening again: Moving from a nice and active commenting to an almost deserted blog and frankly destroying my good mood.
Morgan is one of the main reasons this blog is what it is and I would terribly miss his comments.
Marko has good and interesting things to say as well and I hope he comes back if he starts respecting the rules of politeness, rules of this blog and respecting other users. If he does not the ban will be extended!

I cannot complain. My four favourites managed to go through. Good luck. FiK 50 has not been blessed with a good bunch of songs. However, there is one that stands waaay above anything else: ‘Suus’. It has everything that I care for: haunting melody, emotional content, top notch vocals and exquisite musical arrangements.
P.S.: I even managed to grow used to her hair. LOL The dress isn’t bad either.
You have Kamela as both qualified and not qualified, one of them should be Marsida.
Different places have reported different things, but I think Marsida is out which is a shame! She was my favourite tonight.

Yes, Marsida is out and horrible Bojken Lako is in. :S I think Rona has the biggest chance to win FiK though personally I dislike her screaming… I have tried to like her performance but still find it painful. She has very good voice but sometimes the less is more…
I agree. I listened to Suus a couple of times now, but I don’t see it ;( i don’t know but with Eurovision songs I agree with Valéry’s je-ne-sais-quoi (*showing off how educated I am hehe)
Semi2 was weaker than 1 in terms of song quality and vocals. Overall, it was a terribly boring night that came to an abrupt and sad stop for me. Here were my rankings of semi2:
