Hungary – News has arrived via the official Eurovision Hungary’s facebook. “Dear Friends, we are glad to inform you that the Hungarian public service broadcaster is going to hold a press conference about the details of the Hungarian participation at ESC 2012 on Thursday afternoon. So more information on Thursday… :)

This is what was written and it could just be a simple confirmation that Hungary will be present in Baku, but many Hungarians believe that MTV might reveal details on how a song choice will be made.

Will Hungary make an internal selection? If it’s internal will it be made public that same day? Will they hold a national final instead?

More news as it comes in.

How come Italy hasearnt been comfirmed yet ? ive been told they had poor veiwing figures and why has Czech Republic lost intrest in Eurovision ? at a guess i think Hungary is having a national final

Czech broadcaster entered the contest with the wrong idea/attitude from the start, I’ve been told by a Czech fan. There was a negative view of the contest from the start and that after the bad results and bad viewing figures, now the station had several reasons not to join. When there were talks about how their annual income would be used CTV said that it’s going to focus on sports and other types of entertainment especially for the youth because Eurovision was ‘for the old’ or something like that. I really hope it’s a misquote because they obviously didn’t see that Jedward and Saade got top 10 this May :P
