FYR Macedonia – The traditional Skopje Fest, which has served as Macedonia’s national final for years will no longer have this purpose. These news come as no surprise as Macedonia has already internally selected the popular singer Kaliopi at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. MRKTV announced today that the bad results in recent years (Macedonia has not qualified for a Eurovision final since 2007) made them become convinced that a change in the selection process was needed.That probably means that we will get internal selections from Macedonia in the future.
Skopje Fest will not cease to exist. The only change the festival will see is that it will be held in November henceforth, rather than in the beginning of the year.

I like Macedonian music a lot but Skopje Fest is famous for terrible sound quality, weak webcasts and predictability of results. I think that it is good (and more honest too) to have an internal choice for ESC. Perhaps it will make Skopje Fest less predictable too.
I just watched it once.. This year! I didn’t like the sound quality and he webcast was horrible, but some of the songs were ok… I found it a bit too long though.. Normally I’m for democracy and a national final, but as it looks right now Macedonians can at least choose the song.. so that’s good
I loved ‘Ludost’ this year.
Yess! That one was different and I still listen to it sometimes! Just for that the hours were worth watching ^^

It will make Skopje fest much better..because now when there is not ESC as a “prize” better singers and songs will join it!
Weak webcast is not the reason to quit NF at all…because it’s for ppl in Macedonia to choose entry, not those who watch via webcast..
We also have bad webcast..but that is not reason to quit Beovizija..

Skopje fest is not soo long a method of choosing for ESC, it is since 2007, before that they didn’t use Skopje fest for ESC, but special festival in MKTV studio or Ohrid fest..
I enjoyed year after year the innocent and almost naive good quality of this NF though the results themselves were predictable, a lot of entries surprised me, interested me, entertained me. It was a NF I actually enjoyed. But I am in favor of internally chosen artist, and let’s be fair, Lambe should be given the ticket after being robbed almost 3 times in a row

< Kaliopi will sing song that is on Macedonian language.
< According to the news she will be author of three songs that will compete or that will be discussed for. The winning song will be chosen in February.
< Kaliopi said that she had imagine three types of songs: one strong ballad, one in a Tina Turner style and the third one is still not known.
< The producer of the song is not yet announced but she insisted to be a world-famous producer.

According to this we can figure out that she will choose the song. So there will be three options and she will choose which one will sing in Baku.
