Belarus – The submission deadline for the Belarussian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 ended yesterday. BTRC, the Belarussian national broadcaster, now revealed that a total of 90 Musicians applied for the competition. 55 of them are Singers and 35 are composers. The 15 semi-finalists will be selected at the beginning of December. It had already been revealed earlier that composers from Portugal, Malta, Russia and Israel are among the 35 hopefuls.
15 singers and a total of 30 songs will be selected to compete in the semi-final to be held on December 21. 5 competitors will then proceed to the national final and compete for the ticket to Baku. The national final is expected to be held in the end of January 2012.
