Azerbaijan – The host country for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest will use a method similar to their previous one for selecting the right artist(s). 72 performers were selected and as of Monday 28 November, each week in 5 tv-shows to be broadcasted weekdays, 1 winner will be chosen out of 9 artists a week, although this wasn’t always the case last year, and likely it won’t be for this year either.
After 8 weeks with 9 performers a week, 8 finalists should have been chosen through televoting only. The further development of the national final remains unknown.
