a nice ballad from Slovenia, hope it will qualify

I want to love Slovenia 11, but I can’t bring myself to do it. Maja has great a voice and does not seem to be afraid of performing live (the English version above was not a live performance though, was it?). ‘No one’ is a modern ballad that sounds like run-of-the-mill stuff to me. She cleverly tries to avoid the vocal acrobatics that feature in Nadine Beiler’s perfomance, but the whole number still sounds a bit convoluted, still it’s a decent effort. I much prefer to listen to Eveline Sasenko’s ballad. The English version brings nothing new to the song; it actually makes it sound a bit blander.

  4. Luis USA says:

More than one Slovenian has told me that this song was originally in English and done in Slovenian for EMA and that’s why it sounds smoother…I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case with 50% of all songs in national finals that require a singer to sing in the local language.

  5. i absolutely disliked her voice live in EMA but in english it’s even more obvious i purely hate it.. musically it’s very loved by fans i can see why it does remind me of the much stronger Norway 2008 in a way but yeah, not the same quality imo

  6. Martin says:

Ok, but now it sounds less . . . Slovene!

  7. Conor Brown says:

Much prefer the english version! theres definitely more of a flow to it!:) top 10 now i’d say! theyll put on a gr8 performance on the night! the stage will definitely help this song and marija is a great preformer!

  8. Anthony says:

Much, much, MUCH BETTER with the English version! Has a lot more “power” and “Oomph” factor to it. And if Maja Keuc nails the live performance which she will, then Slovenia could stun everybody!

  9. Alex says:

i prefer the slovenian version but the song is still good in English. It better qualify to the final!!!

  10. Bradley says:

I would prefer in slovenian than english but i still think Slovenia will qulify

  11. Sandra says:
