France – The presentation of the French entry “Sognu” this Monday seems to have impressed a lot of people, as France finds itself somewhere where it has not been since 2002: In the Top 2 of the bookies. Just behind Norway’s “Haba Haba”, Amaury Vassili’s opera song has emerged as one of the top favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest. France’s biggest competitors, at least according to the bookies, are Getter Jaani from Estonia in third and Lena from Germany in fourth place. Russia’s announcement that their song would be written by Lady Gaga’s producer RedOne has catapulted them into 5th position even though the song has not even been revealed yet.

This is the Top 10 at the bookies at the moment:

  1. Norway
  2. France
  3. Estonia
  4. Germany
  5. Russia
  6. Sweden
  7. Bosnia-Herzegovina
  8. United Kingdom
  9. Azerbaijan
  10. Denmark

UPDATE: France is now in the pole position and has dethroned Norway!

France is now n°1 with all bookies…..and after, estonia, UK and Sweden……I really think france could win because this song is so amazing…sorry for the pop song but for once we can have a great singer (Have hear the sweden eric accent it’s awfull and the lyrics are poor…to dead)

    • i follow daily the bookies now thanks to a site sent to me and yes, amaury never stopped climbing, he’s around 4/4,5 right now (the extremes are 3,5/5) whereas Estonia remained at 6 or above… but bookies can have it all wrong after all!
