    This is a joke, right?

Due to her thick accent I do not understand everything but what I understand seems to indicate that this is some sort of propaganda song for the totalitarian regime they have there. Politics aside, this is utter cr*p anyway …
On my ESC countries list Belarus is in last place with an average of 1,7/12 … and with this song they will stay where they are.

    Well, good luck anyway …

  2. Loveswissmusic says:

Man.. And Zejlko Joksimovic was just a rumour for participating in Belarus.

  3. Xello says:

Well i heard Zeljko on one television telling that he will compose Belorusain entry, and he was confirmed rumors…
This song have great beat (imo), but lyrics are so stupid… And she cannot sing…
Improve singing, improve lyrics (Belarus-Belorushian get it out of the chours it sounds bad when pronouncing) and you will have average entry…

  4. Rafael Lopes says:

    Jesus Christ

  5. ct says:

This goes from bad to worse. And we’re expecting Cyprus any minute now. Looks like another disaster waiting to happen.

    • I hope Cyprus will not be as bad as we expect… THe last couple of years I always liked their songs…

But Belarus… What the hell are they thinking? Is their regime scared because of what is happening in arabia? This song is sooo bad.

  6. ct says:

You liked their songs the last two years??? You must be a masochist then :-) Anyway I heard that guy singing on YouTube and it’s really brutal…

On a positve note, Greece chooses on Wednesday. And they have at least two songs that can be really big in 2011…

  7. togravus says:

I have liked all Cypriot entries since 2004 (2005 was vocally weak live … but still) and I had them in my top 3 last year. :)

  8. belarus and cyprus are among my worst esc countries ever, only last year at 14th did they put some distant effort…

this is horrible, and beats out Austria for last place… let’s see if Cyprus can do too

  9. Alex says:

Cyprus is a much better (ESC) country than Belarus.

  10. i have belarus last 50th and cyprus 45th (ooooh)

  11. steve goode says:

Not as bad as some of the entries already picked.

  12. Holy blyat… what is this about? Is it a joke?

I have bad flashbacks of Political Song Festival in times when was the Wall still up.

On my private rating scale the bottom two levels are
    2. This is against Geneva conventions, f***er!
    1. Do I have to watch and listen to this? Can’t I be waterboarded instead?

    well, this gets a 1.

  13. Samantha says:

Is there any score lower than nul points? I mean, seriously?! If any of the rumors about Belarus this year were true (Zeljko, the return of Koldun, etc), and yet the network chose this…there’s something seriously wrong with someone’s head. Or at least their ears. One can only hope that Belarus will pull a Ukraine, realize their error, and put in something half-decent. Oy…I’m normally a pretty pleasant person, and I hate to be negative about ESC songs, even if they’re not to my liking, but the fact that I’m not going to get those three minutes back boils my blood just a wee bit.

    ::exhale::
Ok, rant over…I need a glass of wine.

  14. popo says:

lol, this is what i call… soviet kitsch

  15. Mi says:

OMG. I mean, what else to say…

  16. Jay says:

Everyone they cut to in the audience look like they are being forced to look like they are enjoying it.
This joins Ireland and Belgium right at the bottom of my list.

  17. Shevek says:

I’ve never pictured myself writing that Ireland 11 is no longer occupying the very last place on my list. Vinnikova has managed to uptsage Jedward. She can’t sing either, I can hardly say what she is going on about and the song is cringingly bad.

    P.S.: nice dress though.

Hey, first time user to the site here!

I just want to show my worrying concern, as to the joke of an entry that Belarus are in actual fact sending to the Eurovision this year!

    1. Its mad, oppressive propaganda, i think that Lukashenko is trying to show to the rest of Europe that in the face of influential revolution in North Africa and the Middle East, that the state in fact, still has a vice-grip on their peoples lives, and the will to keep a lid on brewing ideas of democracy and freedom!

    2. Who is the guy sitting in the chair at certain points of the song? (which is awful to say the least) is he the composer, or government representative, or indeed a relative of the dictator?

The lyrics certainly don’t work either, and the crappy backing track just annoys me. Will foreseeably be at the bottom of the pile this year, just as well, where it belongs!

    ::::CRINGE!!!:::: :P

  19. Pete From Canada says:

After watching this video: “LOL – this is a joke” 5 minutes later: (humming to myself) “Bellorussia da da da da da” …

This song may win the whole frigin’ thing.

  20. Razvan says:

Dissapointing entry for Belarus. This is probably the most pathetic entry in this year. It’s gonna be one of the last places in the Semifinal for Belarus, that’s for sure.

  21. twins says:

We’re from Belarus and we DO NOT like this song.
Old lyrics or new lyrics it still sounds terrible. “Byelorussia” or “Belarus” is just a half of problem.
This is just not a song for Eurovision.
We don’t like the lyrics, it seems strange something like the author knows only some words.
We don’t like the beats because they’re like “bum bum bum bum”, it really doesn’t sound professional.
The girl’s voice doesn’t sound “epic” like some Belarusian Mass Media wrote and it even seems to be tired to the end of the song.
In general the song isn’t even good because after 20 seconds listening we become bored. Yes maybe it’s good enough for “family events” but not for ESC.
We don’t think there are any ways to make our entry better. It’s actually sad.

P.S. Though the girl is cute, hah :) :) But it’s also not a solution for our country :/:/

    P.P.S. Cyprus in 2010 was AWESOME! <3
