Azerbaijan: Wild card for Nikola Barkley

Azerbaijan – While the shows of the fourth week in the Azeri selection process are still being broadcast, a wildcard has been announced in yesterday’s show. Nikola Barkley from Scotland got granted a second chance as the jury was amazed by her vocal skills. That means we have the first four Azeri finalists: Nikola Barkley, Chingiz Mustafayev , Nurlan Növresli and Günya IbrahimliHarold Scotland has published an article about the unusual “tearing up of the rule book”. Azeri television iTV will broadcast the second part of the fourth heat of their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest tonight at 18:00 CET. The qualification round will last over the entire week. The candidates will perform  an Azerbaijani song today , a Eurovision entry on Wednesday, a song of their choice on Thursday, and on Friday the winner will be determined. In each of the qualification rounds 11 artists will compete and one of them will qualify for the final.
