This time with news from Germany, Malta, FYR Macedonia and Turkey
Turkey – eurovision.tv reports tonight, that the Turkish public broadcaster TRT will decide on their Eurovision entrant in January, putting an end to countless specultations. According to rumors Atiye Deniz or Tarkan have already been asked to represent Turkey in Düsseldorf. TRT will stick to the method to select their entry internally, which was quite succesful in recent years.
FYR Macedonia – The Macedonian national final “Skopje 2011″ will be held in February and will probably consist of only one show. Submissions may already be sent to national broadcaster MKRTV. The artists and composers have to be citizens of Macedonia. The exact date of the national final is unknown yet.
Malta - We reported a few days ago that PBS had received 141 entries for the Maltese national final. According to ESCToday Fabrizio Faniello is one of the participants. He represented Malta in 2001 (coming 9th) and in 2006 (coming last with only 1 point) According to the rules of mathematics he thus must return to the contest in 2011.
Germany – The mayor of Düsseldorf, the host city of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 has called for Eurovision fans to send their ideas about the contest to: eurovision2011@duesseldorf. de .
