Eurovision meets World Cup

Germany – The World Cup 2010 in South Africa is already well underway and a group of German students have recorded a special soccer version of “Satellite” the song with which Germany won the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

The lyrics are in German and have been changed to suit the soccer theme. Instead of “Love oh love” for example, they sing “Schland oh Schland” the last syllable of “Deutschland”.

They have even put online a website: www.schlandrut.de (alluding to Lena’s last name “Landrut”)
